Shari Green writes middle grade and young adult fiction. Her 2016 debut MG novel, ROOT BEER CANDY AND OTHER MIRACLES, was a White Ravens selection and a CCBC Best Books for Kids and Teens starred selection, and was shortlisted for the Chocolate Lily Book Award, the Rocky Mountain Book Award, and the Manitoba Young Readers’ Choice award.

Her 2017 book, MACY McMILLAN AND THE RAINBOW GODDESS, is an ALA Schneider Family Book Award winner, IODE Violet Downey Book Award finalist, Junior Library Guild Selection, and Silver Birch fiction award finalist. Her latest novel, MISSING MIKE, launched in May 2018 (September 2018 in the U.S.).

In her non-writing life, Shari works as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She’s in love with stories and the sea, and can often be found curled up with a good book and a cup of tea, or wandering the beaches near her home on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Shari is married to her high-school sweetheart and has four grown children.

Shari is a member of CWILL-BC and SCBWI.
